Duo Slot

Two things in one complication on your Apple Watch — September 27, 2026

Duo Slot puts two things side by side in the large rectangular complication of your watch face — for example Steps and Battery, or Battery and your Next Event. One slot shows two things, so your other slots are free for something else. Tap the left or right half to open that item.

What it can show

• Battery — your Apple Watch battery level.
• Steps — today’s steps, the same total as the Health app (steps counted by your iPhone are included).
• Next Event — the event happening now, or the next one within 36 hours. All-day events are not shown.

How to set it up

1. Open Duo Slot on your Apple Watch once, and allow Health, Motion and Calendar access.
2. Touch and hold your watch face, then tap Edit.
3. Swipe to the complications screen and tap the large rectangle (Modular, Modular Duo, Modular Ultra, Infograph Modular and similar faces have one).
4. Choose Duo Slot, then pick a pair such as “Steps | Battery”. Both orders are available.

Tapping

Tapping the left half opens the left item, and tapping the right half opens the right item in the Duo Slot app on your Apple Watch.

When the numbers look old

watchOS decides how often complications refresh. Duo Slot refreshes about every 15 minutes, and immediately after you open the app. Events switch exactly on time because their times are known in advance. If something looks stale, open the app once.
